Learn To Lead with Confidence,
Clarity and Purpose
Stepping into middle leadership is exciting, but it can also feel daunting. Many brilliant educators find themselves promoted because they’re exceptional in the classroom or within their team, only to discover that leading others requires a completely different skill set. Suddenly, you’re expected to inspire, delegate, manage performance, and think strategically, often without the training or support to do so confidently.
Most middle leaders admit they feel out of their depth at times, juggling endless demands, doubting their decisions, and wondering how to motivate their teams more effectively. The good news? Confidence can be learned, and leadership can be developed through practice, reflection, and guidance.
Lead with Impact has been created precisely for that reason, to help you move from uncertainty to assurance, and from managing tasks to truly leading people.
This is a 12-week virtual development programme designed to help aspiring and current middle leaders lead with greater confidence, clarity and impact. You’ll strengthen your self-belief, develop practical leadership skills, and learn how to motivate and influence your teams to perform at their best, without feeling overworked or overwhelmed.
Unlike traditional online courses, Lead With Impact combines short, bite-sized learning modules with live coaching and accountability sessions. This means you won’t just learn what good leadership looks like, you’ll be supported to be it in real time, in your own organisational context.

Focused Development for Aspiring and Current Middle Leaders
This programme is ideal for you if:
"In my role I am managing teams, but also leading the whole college in my specialist areas and deputising for the Principal. I am now able to make decisions more effectively and prioritising workload in a way that maximises my impact.
This has helped me become more strategic and proactive, rather than reactive, which I was before. I have developed greater self-trust and resilience, which have reduced self-doubt and the fear of being perceived as overstepping.
As a result, I feel more empowered, balanced, and capable of leading with authenticity, which ultimately benefits both my team and the wider college community."

Confidence doesn’t come from reading or watching, it comes from doing. That’s why this programme is built around coaching and accountability, helping you apply what you learn in your real work environment.
You’ll be guided by an experienced leadership coach who understands the pressures of education and who will challenge, support, and hold you to your goals.
You’ll also benefit from the wisdom of the group, a cohort of peers who understand what it means to lead in schools today. Together, you’ll problem-solve, celebrate wins, and grow as a community of confident, capable leaders.
A stronger sense of self-belief and purpose in your leadership role
You’ll develop the confidence to trust your judgement and lead with conviction. Instead of second-guessing decisions or waiting for direction, you’ll feel clear about your role, your values, and the difference you want to make, both for your team and your organisation.
Confidence communicating, delegating, and managing performance
You’ll learn to have the right conversations at the right time, whether that’s giving feedback, setting expectations, or delegating responsibilities effectively. You’ll feel more assured in holding others accountable while maintaining trust and motivation across your team.
The ability to think and plan strategically rather than reactively
You’ll step back from firefighting and start leading with foresight. The programme helps you recognise what matters most, plan ahead with confidence, and influence upwards as well as across, so you’re shaping change, not just responding to it.
Improved resilience and self-trust, even in challenging times
Leadership can be demanding, but you’ll learn how to stay grounded and resourceful when pressures rise. You’ll build resilience through reflection and action, developing the self-trust to handle tough situations with calm, clarity, and confidence.
Together, these outcomes create lasting change, not just in how you lead, but in how you feel about leading. You’ll finish the programme with renewed confidence, a clearer sense of direction, and the practical skills to lead your team with purpose and composure.
It’s about stepping into leadership with assurance, knowing you have the tools and mindset to make a genuine difference.
Tracy-Anne Barker brings over fifteen years of experience working alongside education professionals and organisations, supporting leaders to grow in confidence, clarity and impact.
Through her work with The Managers Training Company, Tracy-Anne has supported hundreds of managers and middle leaders in education to navigate the challenges of leading people. She understands the unique pressures faced by those in operational and support roles, where expectations are high, change is constant, and leadership is as much about people as it is about process.
Lead With Impact is born out of Tracy-Anne’s practical, coaching-led approach to leadership development. The programme focuses on building self-belief, strengthening communication, and helping leaders move from day-to-day firefighting to confident, purposeful leadership.
Her work is rooted in real school contexts, with an emphasis on learning through reflection, practice, and honest conversation. Tracy-Anne is known for creating supportive yet challenging spaces where leaders feel understood, stretched, and equipped to make a meaningful difference in their teams and organisations.

Lead With Impact doesn’t just develop individuals, it strengthens the whole organisation. When middle leaders grow in confidence and clarity, they lead teams that are more focused, motivated, and productive.
Organisations that invest in this programme see:
More resilient, agile, and proactive teams. Leaders who can adapt to change, manage challenges calmly, and keep their teams moving forward, even under pressure.
Improved staff engagement and retention. Confident, capable middle leaders create positive, purposeful working environments where staff feel supported and valued.
Stronger performance management and accountability. Participants gain the skills to set clear expectations, hold constructive conversations, and help others take ownership of their responsibilities.
A clear commitment to professional development (CPD). Investing in leadership growth demonstrates to staff, governors, and parents that the organisation is serious about developing people and nurturing talent from within.
By building leadership capacity at the middle tier, organisations create a stronger, more cohesive culture, one where confident, capable leaders model the behaviours and mindsets that inspire those around them.
Lead With Impact is designed for aspiring and current middle leaders in education — for example, Heads of Department, Heads of Year, or team leads. It’s perfect if you’re ready to develop your leadership confidence, sharpen your skills, and make a bigger impact in your school or college.
Not necessarily. The programme is equally valuable for those preparing to step into leadership. If you’ve been given extra responsibility or are keen to progress into a middle leadership position, you’ll find the programme practical, relevant, and immediately useful.
The entire programme is delivered virtually, making it accessible wherever you’re based. Each fortnight, you’ll receive a short online learning module (with videos, reflections, and practical tools) followed by live group coaching and accountability sessions to help you apply what you’ve learned in your real context.
We recommend allowing around two hours a week. This includes time for online learning, live sessions, and applying what you’ve learned in your role. The sessions are held in the early evening (6:30–8:00 pm) to fit around your working day and personal commitments.
We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to miss a session, you’ll be able to catch up with recordings and materials from that week, and your coach will help you stay on track. We do, however, encourage live attendance wherever possible to get the full benefit of coaching and discussion.
No, and that’s exactly the point. This isn’t a self-paced course you complete in isolation. It’s a live, interactive, and coached programme that combines structured learning with accountability and real-world action. You’ll have direct support from an experienced leadership coach and the collective insight of a small, supportive group of peers.
It’s practical, personal, and confidence-focused. Many leadership courses focus on theory, this one focuses on you and your context. You’ll learn proven frameworks for managing performance, delegating effectively, and leading strategically, while also developing the self-belief and resilience that underpin authentic leadership.
Each cohort is limited to around 15 participants. This ensures that sessions are interactive, supportive, and personal, you’ll have space to share experiences, ask questions, and receive meaningful feedback from both your coach and your peers.
Yes. While Lead With Impact isn’t a formally accredited qualification, it absolutely counts towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). You’ll receive a certificate of completion outlining your learning hours and outcomes, which can be shared with your line manager or HR department.
Absolutely. Many participants are funded by their organisation as part of their professional development plan. We can provide an information pack and template wording to help you make the case for organisational support, and can raise payment via invoice if you would prefer.
You don’t need to have all the answers, just the willingness to grow. If you’re ready to step into leadership with greater confidence and clarity, Lead With Impact will help you get there.
Join a supportive, practical, and inspiring programme that will transform not only how you lead, but how you feel about leading.
